Australia A bowled out before tea on day three

The New Zealand cricketers could yet get a result in their four-day warmup match ahead of the the two-Test series across the Tasman.

Australia A resumed on 187 for four on day three in Brisbane and dominated the morning to move to 301 for four at lunch, in reply to New Zealand's 423 all out.

But the hosts were bowled out before tea for 395.

Centurion Ed Cowan top scored for Australia A with 145 before he was bowled by Tim Southee.

The Australian selectors have named a 12-man Test side with explosive opener David Warner set to debut on Thursday in the opening match at the Gabba.

Fast bowler Ben Cutting has been called up for the first time while fellow quicks Mitchell Starc and James Pattinson have been involved in limited overs squads previously.

One player will be omitted.
