The brother of double murderer Mark Lundy says news of a possible appeal against the conviction has made him fearful for the safety of his wife and children.
Lundy is serving a life sentence for bludgeoning his wife, Christine, and daughter Amber, to death in the family's home in Palmerston North 12 years ago.
He has applied to the Privy Council for permission to appeal against his conviction.
Craig Lundy says he is disappointed with the application, because it brings the crime back back into the spotlight.
He accepts his brother committed the murders.
