A person is in a critical condition after a serious crash in Marlborough this morning.

Emergency services are responding to the crash on State Highway 63 at the intersection with Waihopai Valley Road, west of Renwick.
A police spokesperson said the two-car crash happened just before 7am.
A helicopter has been sent to the scene.
The road is closed and diversions will be put in place.
Motorists were being asked to avoid the area.
