A majority of Tonga's parliament has voted to recognise an Auditor General's report that found inappropriate spending by the Prime Minister and six cabinet ministers.
The report was tabled in parliament last week after it was repeatedly stalled by the prime minister, 'Akilisi Pohiva.
Matangi Tonga reported that the 12-page petition found that Mr Pohiva and six ministers had inappropriately spent their budget allocations since 2015.
Sixteen MPs voted to recognise the findings.
Despite talk that the final sitting day would see a motion moved against Mr Pohiva, no member proposed impeaching him or the ministers.
