Two passengers dead after fiery crash with truck in Dunedin

Two people died in a car which caught fire after colliding with a truck in Kensington, Dunedin early this morning.

Emergency services were called to King Edward Street about 3.30am today, where two passengers in the car died at the scene.

The driver of the car received serious injuries, and the driver of the truck received moderate injuries.

Both were transported to hospital.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
