Samoa's Lands and Titles main court house at Mulinu'u will be the main venue this week for the historical court case of the Malietoa paramount matai title.
Reports say the case will be attended by hundreds of heirs of the Malietoa extended family from both local and overseas.
It is the first hearing of the case since, Papalii Fa'amausili Moli, the son of the late head of state, Malietoa Tanumafili II, was bestowed with the title last year in July.
However the recognition and use of the title was put on hold through an interim injunction from the court after heirs of Malietoa Gatuitasina and Malietoa Talavou filed petitions in objection.
Thirty two petitions, which include those who support and object to the bestowal of the title on Papali'i Fa'amausili Moli, have already been filed.
But it's expected additional petitions will be filed before the start of the hearing tomorrow.
