Hawke's Bay police are investigating the death of a man in Hastings.

The man's death is being treated as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to a residential property in Akina about 9pm last night.
Police said they had arrested a woman in relation to the death. The 36-year-old was due in Hastings District Court this afternoon on an assault charge.
Investigations are continuing.
