An Auckland woman who let her nine-year-old daughter drive has been let off with a warning.
Police said when a car was stopped in Paremoremo on the North Shore yesterday afternoon the woman was found in the front passenger seat and her daughter at the wheel.
She said she planned on pulling the handbrake if her daughter lost control.
Sergeant Brett Campbell-Howard said the police had a stern word with her.
