The National Business Review's Rich List shows packing entrepreneur Graeme Hart is again New Zealand's richest person.
The combined wealth of this year's rich listers adds up to more than $50 billion for the first time and is double that of 2004.
At the top of the list is Mr Hart, whose international empire was built up largely in the packaging business and is currently worth $7 billion.
Second is Richard Chandler, with $3.2 billion through his Singapore-based business, which specialises in public and private equity investments.
In third place is the Todd family, whose fortune has been built up for more than a century. These days it specialises in energy, property and a range of investments here and overseas.
