Police have named the man who died early on Saturday following a shooting incident in Avondale.
He was 28-year-old Mars Rakeem.
Detective Inspector Lloyd Schmid said in a statement that police are supporting his family during a distressing time.
"The family are grieving and ask for privacy," he said.
Yesterday a 24-year-old man was charged with Rakeem's murder. He is also facing drugs and firearms charges.
A 20-year-old woman has been charged with being an accessory to murder, drug supply and attempting to dissuade witnesses.
Both are due to appear in court today.
