Men in alleged roof scam charged with using false documents

Two men arrested in Wellington in relation to roofing scams in Auckland have appeared in court today.

Three men were arrested in Lower Hutt at 3.45am.

Tommy Ward and William Donohue were remanded overnight and are due to appear in the Hutt Valley District Court again tomorrow morning.

They are both charged with knowing and using documents - a roofcare business card and invoice - that were false.

They are in New Zealand on holiday visas.

The third man, James Nolan, did not appear in court today but is facing the same charge.
