Nine police officers in East Sepik in Papua New Guinea were arrested and detained last week over the torching of 13 houses in Wewak in October.
Local police commander Albert Beli said they faced charges of arson, armed robbery and abuse of office, reports The National.
So far, 11 police had been arrested in connection to the Kreer village arson and more were expected, he said.
The arrests have been co-ordinated by the police's internal investigation unit from Port Moresby.
