A new online registry aims to male it easier to do business in the Cook Islands.
The multipurpose companies, incorporated societies, and personal property securities registry, launched by the Ministry of Justice, is jointly funded by the governments of the Cook Islands and New Zealand, and the Asian Development Bank.
Now live, the registry allows users to file, access, and search company records, incorporated societies, and personal property securities records-all from one integrated resource.
Secretary of Justice Tamatoa Jonassen said it would be a a great time-saver for businesses, as it was easy to use, and created a paperless process for people to register their companies or incorporated societies, lodge their annual returns, and search for or update company details.
