Cricket fans likely to have fun with Clarke

The New Zealand cricketers will respect Michael Clarke's personal privacy when they meet the Australian team for the first test in Wellington this weekend, but they don't expect the fans to follow suit.

Clarke has had screeds of media attention following the news of his broken engagement with model Lara Bingle after he left the New Zealand one day seires to try and save the relationship.

Black Caps bowler Chris Martin says while the team will leave the issue alone, he expects the crowd to show .no such mercy to Clarke

Martin says the fans will probably have a ball but that's nothing to do with the Black Caps.

He says sometimes when he's fielded on the boundary in Australia he's been ripped to shreds, which can be humourous and keeps players focussed on the game.
