Decorated snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott was was crowned the Snow Sports New Zealand overall athlete of the year at it's annual awards at Coronet Peak on Saturday.
The 22-year-old completed a superb 12 months, finishing on the podium at every international event she contested.
A particularly notable achievement was her LAAX Open slopestyle win in Switzerland in January, a career first and a dream of hers since she began competing.
Freeski Athlete of the Year winner Luca Harrington also had a strong season, claiming his best World Cup and world championships result, with a fourth place at the Silvaplana Slopestyle World Cup and a fifth place at the world championships Big Air.
