Jazz star Herbie Hancock has announced he will return to New Zealand later this year.
It will be the first time the musician has played here since 2019.
Hancock's career spans seven decades.
He recorded his first solo album in 1962 and soon after joined Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet, playing the piano.
He went on to win 14 Grammy awards and has released classic hits including 'Cantaloupe Island', 'Chameleon', and 'Rockit'.
The tour will kick off at Auckland's Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on 8 October, followed by the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington on 9 October.
Hancock will then head to Australia.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10 July at 9am until 11 July at 8am.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on 11 July at 9am.
