France rounded off a 4-1 win over Germany in their Davis Cup tennis quarter-final in Stuttgart this morning after Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beat Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (7-5) in the last singles rubber.
France had assured themselves of a last-four berth after their victory in Sunday's doubles.
However, Philipp Petzschner's win over Michael Llodra earlier on Monday restored some pride for the hosts.
France have won the Davis Cup three times, and were beaten finalists last year.
They will now face either the United States or Spain in the final four.
