A malfunction in a luggage X-ray system at Wellington Airport has caused delays and queues.
This morning, an airport spokesperson said the system had been down for nearly 24 hours.
It had delayed three flights yesterday and another this morning, with contingency plans in place but more time taken to process passengers, he said.
In the afternoon, the airport said a part to fix the system arrived and technicians had the system running again by lunchtime.
