Six fire trucks were sent to the Health Ministry head office in Wellington this morning after reports of smoke coming from the building.
A spokesperson for Fire and Emergency said they were alerted just before 11.20am.
A reporter at the scene said Molesworth Street, which was briefly closed to traffic from the intersection with May Street, had reopened and no staff were evacuated.
