Promoted side Crystal Palace have finally won a match on their return to English Premier League football.

Title contenders Manchester City climbed to second place, beating promoted visitors Hull City 2-0.
There were also 1-0 wins for Norwich over visitors Southampton while Newcastle repelled Fulham by the same scoreline.
Cardiff City held Everton to a scoreless draw in Wales.
Third-placed Liverpool take on Manchester United at Anfield on Monday and fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur travel to Arsenal in the North London derby.
