Cigarettes stolen in Dunedin dairy ram raid

19:12 pm on 22 October 2017

Dunedin police are looking for four people and warning others to be on the look-out for cheap cigarettes, following a ram raid at a dairy early this morning.

Police were called to the store on Waikouaiti-Waitati Road at 3.45am.

They said the Waitati store's shop front was extensively damaged after the group smashed a car through the window and took a large amount of cigarettes.

The car was found abandoned nearby.

Police are warning anyone in the Dunedin area who is offered cheap cigarettes to call them.
