Fiji police say a man remains in custody in connection with the death of a Fiji journalist at the weekend.
Losana McGowan died early on Saturday after she was allegedly pushed after a heated argument at a flat in Suva.
In a statement the police said investigators are awaiting the outcome of a post mortem examination which is currently being conducted.
And in another case, police say a man remains under police guard at the burns unit at Lautoka Hospital and is yet to be questioned over an incident which left his wife with burns to her body.
FBC news reports the 26-year-old woman is also in the burns unit after sustaining ten percent burns to her body over the weekend.
It is alleged the woman was shopping in Lautoka on Saturday afternoon when she was doused with benzene and set alight.
