A ship providing critical medical care in the Pacific has two weeks to pay a $300,000 repair bill.

The YWAM Koha has helped over 5,000 people in remote Fijian islands, providing a mobile dental service and basic checkups.

YWAM Ships Managing Director, Marty Emmett, says the boat has been "miraculously" docked for a two-week grace period in Lautoka.

Emmett sat down with RNZ Pacific's Anisha Satya to explain what YWAM is, and why Koha is a necessity for the Pacific.
