The England cricket captain Andrew Strauss has heaped praise on bowlers Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan after the paceman pair ripped through the Indian batting order to hand the hosts victory in the second test at Trent Bridge and a 2-nil lead in the four match series.
Bresnan bowled England to the crushing 319-run triumph on day four with a test best of 5-48, while earlier in the test Broad claimed a hat-trick and six first innings wickets to restrict the tourists as they looked like taking a substantial lead.
England are well placed now to displace India at the top of the world test match rankings and Strauss says Broad's stinging spell of bowling in the first innings was the catalyst for the comprehensive win.
