Wests Tigers league superstar Benji Marshall faces scans on a knee injury but early indications suggest he could play in his side's crucial NRL match with Canterbury this weekend.
The Kiwis captain suffered the injury midway through the second half of the Tigers loss to Melbourne yesterday, but the Tigers assistant coach Peter Gentle said it was thought to be only a strained medial ligament, and at worst he could be out for a week.
The Storm's 12-4 win has taken them to the top of the table ahead of St George Illawarra, though Manly could overtake both clubs if they beat Parramatta tonight by 12 points or more.
