Convicted sex offender Stewart Murray Wilson, often referred to as the Beast of Blenheim, has died.

Corrections operations director for the Lower North Region Coralea Easther confirmed the 74-year-old's death.
She says it appears Wilson died of natural causes in Whanganui Hospital this morning.
Next of kin has been notified, and registered victims are being advised.
