England's Ian Poulter has recorded the biggest victory of his career in beating fellow Briton Paul Casey 4 & 2 in the 36-hole World Golf Championship match play final in Arizona.

It is Poulter's 10th victory worldwide but his first in both the US and a World Golf Championship event and earns him $2 million.

Casey finished runner-up for the second year in a row, after losing to Australian Geoff Ogilvy in last year's final.

Colombian Camilo Villegas beat Spain's Sergio Garcia 5 & 4 in the third-place match.
