Another member of the Bali Nine has lost his final legal appeal in Indonesia against a death sentence for heroin smuggling.

Indonesia's supreme court has confirmed Myuran Sukumaran will face the firing squad unless President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono grants clemency.

Sukumaran was found guilty of organising a shipment of more than 8kg of heroin from Bali to Australia in 2005 and sentenced to death.

The ABC reports fellow Bali Nine member Andrew Chan also had his death sentence appeal rejected in June.
