A wrongly-issued liquor license for a music venue six years ago has forced one of Lorde's Auckland shows to move location.
Lorde's three sold-out shows in Auckland were planned for the Powerstation, but now an all-ages show will be held at The Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna.
The Tuesday and Wednesday shows will remain at the Powerstation but will now be R18.
The license was checked as part of an inspection at an all-ages show at the Powerstation about 10 days ago, its owner Peter Campbell said.
He said days later he was told the variation to host under 18 shows never should have been issued and a special license for the Lorde show was not possible.
Mr Campbell said he would now have to look at future all-ages concerts held at the venue, he said.
Lorde's promoters, Frontier Touring, said people's tickets for Sunday's show would be be valid at the new venue and people with all-ages tickets for the other shows will have to go on Sunday in Takapuna or get a refund.
