The names of four people killed in a crash near Hamilton Airport have been released.
Emergency services were called to Ohaupo Road on Friday night, after a car carrying four young people collided with a van.
Lance Tyrone Robinson, 28, Paul De Silva, 20, Hannah Lei Strickett-Craze, 24, and Jason McCormick Ross, 19, were killed as the white Nissan Skyline they were in lost control at a bend along State Highway Three and crashed into an oncoming van.
The driver of the van was taken to Waikato Hospital with serious injuries.
Waikato Road Policing Manager Freda Grace said speed and alcohol were considered likely factors in the crash and police are still looking for anyone who saw the Skyline in Te Awamutu or Ohaupo on the night of the crash.
