Warriors skipper Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was named captain of the year, forward Tohu Harris made the team of the year, while the Warriors team was also given the spirit of the year.

Brisbane Broncos captain Ali Brigginshaw was named female player of the year, while Warriors winger Madison Bartlett won try of the year.

Tuivasa-Sheck was awarded captain of the year over James Tamou after his incredible heroics to lead the club while being away from his young family.

The Warriors club also took home the Provan-Summons medal to acknowledge their sacrifices in a bid to keep the game going through the disruption of Covid-19.

Canberra five-eighth Jack Wighton claimed the top award, the Dally M Medal.

Wighton polled 26 points across the 20 regular rounds in the shortened season to stave off Eels captain Clint Gutherson (25) and Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary (24) in a close finish.

The NSW star is the first Raiders player since Laurie Daley in 1995 to clinch the medal for best player of the season, and just the third from the club in the award's 42-year history.

Grand finalists Penrith dominated the awards with Ivan Cleary named coach of the year, while halfback Nathan Cleary, prop James Fisher-Harris, second-rower Viliame Kikau, lock Isaah Yeo and centre Stephen Crichton were all picked in the team of the year.

Penrith play Melbourne in the grand final this weekend.
