Heads of various European Union delegations are meeting for talks in Fiji's capital today.
The Director-General of DEVCO, the EU's international development arm, is in Suva for part of his Pacific tour which also includes visits to New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand.
Stefano Manservisi said he was calling all the EU's heads of delegations and co-operation programmes in the Pacific to meet with him in Suva.
He said they would discuss how to further EU's assistance efforts directed towards Pacific Island states which are vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
The EU last year provided EUR 17.6 billion to help developing countries tackle climate change.
