An area, roughly half the size of Auckland City, is about to be added to Kahurangi National Park on the West Coast. In April the park's boundaries will be redrawn to include 64,400 hectares of land, including the Mokihinui River catchment. Debs Martin is the Top of the South field officer for Forest & Bird, and has campaigned for years for the Mokihinui River to be part of Kahurangi National Park. She speaks to Susie Ferguson.
