The front office at Fairfield Community Hall, which is next to Fairfield Park in Clarkin Rd, went up in flames just after midnight.

Fire and Emergency said the building was well ablaze when crews arrived, but the fire was quickly brought under control.

A large part of the building was saved.

Police and fire investigators have been at the scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
