A store near Sylvia Park in Auckland has been ram raided, one day after a store in the nearby mall was also targeted by burglars.
Police said they were notified at about 5am this morning that a vehicle had been used to force entry to a shop on Sylvia Park Road, in Mt Wellington. The road runs near the mall.
Police said they will follow up with the business to work out what was taken, and ask for any CCTV footage.
Yesterday morning the police said offenders smashed a glass door and entered Sylvia Park Mall at about 3.20am.
Police said they tried to enter a jewellery store, but couldn't due to its security measures.
Those offenders fled in a vehicle, and the police are appealing for any information.
There has been a surge in ram-raids and burglaries at shopping malls in recent weeks, with some involving children as young as 7.
