Six youths have been arrested after a burglary in Herne Bay in Auckland early on Saturday morning.
Detective Sergeant Ash Matthews said just after midnight officers responded to report of the robbery at a commercial address on Jervois Road.
A stolen vehicle was used to gain entry, he said.
The young people were alleged to have entered the premises and took a number of items before fleeing in a different vehicle.
One of the vehicles believed to have been used during the incident was found a short time later on the Southern Motorway.
Police spiked the vehicle in Manurewa after the occupants failed to stop for officers.
Matthews said a number of the stolen goods had now been recovered.
A youth is due to appear in Youth Court today on several charges.
Five other youths have been referred to Youth Aid.
