Lawyers for a New Zealand man in Australia charged after allegedly planning a trip to Syria to join jihadist forces head back to court today.
It was alleged 24-year-old Amin Mohammed planned to use his New Zealand passport to travel.
As today's committal hearing resumes in Melbourne after two months, Mr Mohammed's defence team would cross-examine an expert witness on the current political landscape in Syria.
The Australian newspaper's Pia Akerman said the prosecution had already made its case.

Ms Akerman said that included recorded phone calls Mr Mohammed made in Australia and New Zealand to try to get to Syria.
"We've heard a lot about those phone calls, him going to internet cafes and booking air plane tickets."
