Leading epidemiologist Professor Michael Baker says banning unvaccinated people from taking flights will help stem the spread of Covid-19
Baker says allowing unvaccinated people on a plane increases the risk of infection.
He told RNZ the ban needs to happen on domestic flights now to protect travellers.
Baker said it was recognised groups of people shouldn't congregate indoors unless they're vaccinated.
