Police are appealing for information relating to a fatal crash involving a school bus and a car which occured between two Waikato townships on Monday morning.
In a statement, police said emergency services responded to a crash involving a black Subaru Impreza Sports hatch and a Go Bus school bus on State Highway 39 between Pirongia and Ngāhinapōuri at 7.37am on Monday morning.
Police confirmed the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the bus sustained moderate injuries.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Police are now appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or seen either vehicle driving between 7.20am and 7.45am on Monday 1 November.
