Ngongotaha Road/ State Highway 36 has reopened after a crash involving a car and a pedestrian around 1.50pm.
Emergency services attended a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian north of Rotorua.
One person was transported to hospital in a serious condition.
Police said enquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
