Hans Rudolph Giger, the Swiss artist, visionary of bio-mechanics and designer of Ridley Scott's Alien died last night, aged 74, after reportedly suffering injuries from a fall. Brigitte Wuest was head sculptor on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and worked with H R Giger in his Swiss workshop in the 1990s.
