Interviews and live sets from the New Zealand music underground. This week, we catch up with Wellington act Womb.
Womb’s self-titled EP, which emerged in mid-2015 via introspective local label Sonorous Circle, featured five tracks of sparse, drifting, melancholy.
Initially conceived as a solo project by Wellington songwriter Charlotte Forrester, Womb's live incarnation has recently expanded to - somewhat appropriately - include her brother, Haz Forrester, on guitar, and half-sister, Georgette Brown, on drums.
We caught up with them on a balmy March night in Wellington and later in the green cocoon of Aro Valley.
