A man has been arrested after a car chase across South Auckland.
The pursuit began just before 12pm this morning after police tried to stop a car driving dangerously in Manukau.
The car was monitored by the police Eagle helicopter as it drove through South Auckland.
The man left the car in Ōtāhuhu and fled on foot to the Southern Motorway where he attempted to stop vehicles.
He was arrested after getting into a car.
