The healthcare and animal care products company EBOS has posted strong profit growth, with annual revenue topping A$10 billion for the first time.

Key numbers for the 12 months ended June compared to a year ago:

  • Net profit $253.4m vs $202.6m
  • Revenue $12.24b vs $10.73b
  • Underlying profit from continuing operations $281.8 m vs $228.2m
  • Underlying margin 4.43 vs 3.82%
  • FY dividend $1.10 per share vs 93 cents per share
  • *All numbers quoted in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated A$1 = NZ$0.9255

The company's healthcare business saw a underlying profit increase by a third, with acquisitions contributing to the improvement.

The animal care business's underlying profit rose 24 percent reflecting strong growth in brands and the benefits from the investment in a new pet food manufacturing facility.

"We are pleased to report another record profit for EBOS for FY23 driven by continued strong organic growth across our Group businesses as well as substantial contribution from prior year acquisitions, reflecting the benefits of our strategy of investing for growth," chief executive John Cullity said.

EBOS recently reported its supply deal with the Chemist Warehouse in Australia would not be renewed when it expired next June, amounting to $2.1 billion in annual sales.

The company will provide a trading update at its annual meeting in October.
