The Electoral Commission said officials were preparing to begin counting in these electorates in the coming days.

The two week polling period, which began ten days ago, is due to end this weekend.

So far polling in many parts of the country has been overshadowed by complaints from voters about finding their names missing from the electoral roll.

The Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato had acknowledged faults in the latest version of the roll and is allowing electorates to revert to the roll used in the 2012 election where need be.

Last week, the Commissioner also indicated he could extend the period if polling isn't completed on time.
