The Milwaukee Bucks basketballer Michael Redd will miss the the remainder of the NBA season after suffering a serious knee injury.
The 29-year-old tore anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in the Bucks' win over Sacramento.
Milwaukee general manager John Hammond says surgery will be scheduled at a later date.
Redd says he's deeply disappointed but everything in life happens for a reason.
Redd has started in 32 of 33 games for the Bucks this season and averaged a team-best 21.2 points per game.
