More than 40 people have been searching for a missing man, who was last seen leaving a Dunedin hospital.
Gordon McLean, 63, also called 'Gordy', left Wakari Hospital about 3pm on Thursday.
Police and LandSAR volunteers failed to find him overnight and fresh teams were searching this morning in the Dunedin city hill suburbs.
Police said there were serious concerns for his wellbeing, and asked residents in the hill suburbs to check their properties for any sign of him.
He is approximately 152cm tall, of very thin build, and considered frail. Police are concerned that he may have have fallen.
He was last seen wearing a black puffer sleeveless jacket, dark trousers and brown slippers.
