One person has died and power lines have been damaged after a single-vehicle crash in Waitematā on Sunday afternoon.

Police were notified of the crash on Riverhead Road about 12.15pm.
The person who died was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The road is expected to remain closed overnight while the power lines are repaired.
