NSW has recorded nine deaths and 1480 new community cases of Covid-19, the state's premier has announced.
The figures were reported for the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
The youngest person to die was a man in his 20s who was not vaccinated and had underlying conditions.
Seven of the nine deaths were not vaccinated. One person had had one dose and one person had had two doses. All the people had underlying health conditions.
There are currently 1136 people with Covid-19 admitted to hospital; 194 people are in intensive care and 78 need ventilation.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said 75 percent of NSW's eligible population had received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 42 percent were fully vaccinated.
She said the state was "inching towards" the magic figure of 70 percent fully vaccinated that would lead to some restrictions of the lockdown being relaxed.
Yesterday the state announced 1220 new locally acquired cases and eight deaths.
International passports from next month
International Covid-19 vaccine passports will be rolled out in Australia from October, as the federal government prepares for the return of overseas travel.
The passports will allow people to prove their vaccination status internationally.
Even though they will start being issued from October, vaccinated people entering Australia will still need to quarantine for two weeks.
But outbound travel isn't likely to kickstart from then as a result, the federal government has given no clear indication about when it will open Australia's international borders and ease restrictions on both inbound and outbound travellers.
Mystery cases in Victoria
Victoria has recorded 221 new locally acquired Covid-19 cases, the majority of whom are mystery cases.
Contact tracers have been able to link just 98 of those cases to existing outbreaks so far.
The cases were among 42,429 test results processed on Tuesday, when 36,716 vaccine doses were delivered at state-run sites.
There are more than 950 venues listed as exposure sites across the state, including the waiting room of the emergency department of the Alfred Hospital.
Police have issued fines and say they are still investigating a religious gathering in Melbourne's south-east that breached public health orders yesterday.
The Victorian government has committed to a slight easing of restrictions once 70 percent of Victorians aged 16 years or older have had at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
That sits at 61.6 percent, based on the Tuesday update from the federal Department of Health.
No new cases in Queensland
Queensland has recorded no new Covid-19 cases, Health Minister Yvette D'Ath has announced.
D'Ath congratulated the state on recording a "double donut day".
D'Ath said the state had set a new record of vaccinations yesterday with 23,012 doses having been administered.
The state has 17 active cases and more than 35 percent of eligible Queenslanders have been fully vaccinated.
