Home detention has been eased for the senior French Polynesian doctor charged with sexually assaulting minors.
The former president of French Polynesia's Council of Physicians Gilles Soubiran had been confined to his home since May, shortly after he had been charged.
He has successfully challenged the restriction and according to Tahiti-infos he is now free two days a week.
No trial date has been set yet.
Dr Soubiran was suspended from working in the public health sector after resigning from the top position at the Council of Physicians.
Until his suspension he was allowed to treat patients who were not minors.
